Black Rooster 1811 - part 1

Part 1 of the Black Rooster 1811 Summer SAL is here!


Today we’re kicking off a special summer stitching adventure – inspired by an antique sampler from 1811, with a proud black rooster as its centrepiece.

In this first part, we’ll start with the basics of the pattern: an atmospheric introduction to the style you’ll be seeing more of in the coming weeks.

Take your time to lay out your fabric and threads, find a nice spot and start stitching.

In the DETAILS you will see the dimensions of the embroidery on the fabric you have chosen. You can then calculate how much fabric you have left all around. You then start at the top center or top left. The center is indicated on the pattern with a black triangle. On the details page you will also find which symbol corresponds to which threads.
