Au Ver A Soie silk yarns are a completely natural product of exceptionally high quality. A thread of raw silk is like a glass tube under the microscope. This absolutely regular structure gives silk its smooth look and feel and its beautiful shine. Components of less well-organized fibers, called amphorae, give silk its elastic quality, firmness, fineness, lightness and suppleness.
Silk is imperishable. It has a great absorbency which makes it easy to dye. This translates into an extensive color palette.
