This week's Tuesday Threads are by Marianne Tobben. 

Marianne embroidered this beautiful wall hanging based on a design by Ellen Haastrup.

Marianne: "For the first time I embroidered outlines, so that the empty spaces form the figures. I call it my mourning cloth. I started embroidering it after my husband passed away. Each cross is connected to memories of him, while working thoughts go in all directions. It took me six years and now it hangs proudly. I enjoy it every day."
