Bookbinding glue has earned a firm place in the embroidery world, and for good reason. This thick, white water-based glue dries completely transparent, is acid-free, and stays flexible once dry — three qualities that matter when you're working with fabric.

For embroiderers, it's especially useful for finishing smalls and small projects: think mounting embroidery on cardboard or hardboard, attaching fabric to a backing, or neatly finishing edges without any sewing. The glue bonds well between fabric and cardboard, and because it stays flexible, your materials won't warp or stiffen.

It's also handy for priming canvas or securing loose threads on the back of an embroidered piece. Thinned with a little water, it makes a fine finishing layer that keeps threads in place without soaking through to the front.

Drying time is around one hour, and tools rinse clean with water as long as the glue is still wet.
